Linfoot Homes is a family owned company based in Warwickshire which was founded in 1985. Originally known as Linfoot Country Homes, the company concentrated in the early days on barn conversions and small new housing projects in the villages and rural areas of Warwickshire and Worcestershire, rapidly gaining a reputation for the quality and individuality of its country homes.

Over the past 20 years we have expanded our new build and conversion activities across the South Midlands with an interesting range of select individually designed developments in larger towns and city locations as well as in the villages.

In 2006, to reflect the wider nature of our activities in the city as well as the country the company changed its name to Linfoot Homes and at the same time created two banners under which to market its housing – the highly respected name of Linfoot Country Homes was retained to market our rural schemes, whilst urban projects are marketed under the new and more appropriate banner of Linfoot City Homes.

Linfoot Homes' Developments

Linfoot Homes specialises in luxury housing of all sizes from contemporary apartments, penthouses and town houses to delightful country cottages and substantial family homes. We are skilled at blending traditional architectural features with the contemporary styles of modern day living in both our new housing and conversion schemes. Stylish kitchens, designer bathrooms and the infrastructure for the latest in multi-media and home entertainment systems complement traditionally built stone and brick houses. Fashionable open plan spaces often lie behind original Grade II listed exteriors.

Projects involve completely new build developments as well as the conversion of existing buildings of all types. Recent conversion schemes have involved a water mill, hotel, a Victorian mission hall and large period houses, as well as traditional farm buildings. Frequently schemes involve both new build and conversion elements.

Each Linfoot Homes scheme is unique. Unlike many building companies we do not have standard house types. We employ highly experienced and often award winning architects to ensure that each scheme has an individual identity and a great deal of personal care and attention is given to each property to achieve the highest possible building standards.

All developments and conversion projects are designed with sensitivity to reflect the character and nature of the adjoining area, particularly where they are in Conservation Areas or involve listed buildings. Great consideration is given to the use of appropriate materials and detailing.

Since the beginning we have built up excellent working relationships with the planning departments of the areas in which it is active and has consistently maintained its high reputation for the quality of its schemes and the individual properties involved.

Linfoot Homes is a registered NHBC builder and all our homes come with a National House Building Council 10 year warranty.

Affordable Housing

At Linfoot Homes we are concerned that quality affordable homes should be available to local people and we recently became the first house builder to provide a combined affordable and open market housing scheme under Stratford District Council’s Local Choice initiative. We are continuing to work with housing associations and to develop relationships with local communities and parish councils to ensure the provision of attractive affordable housing in rural areas.

Staffing

Linfoot Homes has an established workforce many of whom have been with the company for many years, including a permanent core staff of site managers and tradesmen. We run a comprehensive training and development programme for all our staff and in 2006 achieved Investors in People recognition.

Site managers are encouraged to work towards the NHBC Pride in the Job awards, which are presented to those demonstrating the highest possible standards in their work.
